Austria is in part lockdown. All holiday homes are closed, your booking cannot be made until 7 Januari. (Situation 3. December)
From a legal point of view, the matter is clear: you have made a commitment and must pay.
What options do you have now?
You expect your holiday to take place normally:
You pay the balance of the payment at the latest on the date indicated on the booking confirmation. If your booking cannot take place due to a blockade from the holiday home, your booking will be automatically cancelled 14 days before the arrival date. You will receive a voucher by e-mail with the amount you paid or you can change your booking free of charge. You are not exposed to any risk.
You are uncertain and have decided not to travel to Austria.
Although the lockdown is only valid until 7th Januari, you prefer not to drive. In this case we cannot cancel your booking free of charge. Therefore, the normal cancellation conditions apply. We ask you to inform us of your cancellation by e-mail. We understand that this is a difficult decision and will cost you money.
We therefore offer you the following:
If the holiday home is still available on the original day of arrival, you are very welcome. All you have to do is pay the balance.
You do not cancel your booking and you do not pay.
If your payment is not received within 7 days after the payment deadline stated in the booking confirmation, we will consider this as a regular cancellation on your part. You are not entitled to a refund.
